May Day Celebration, May 7, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Posted 5/4/2017 7:30am by Sally Voris .

Celebrate May Day and the arrival of spring! This year, the roses may be in full bloom--and the peonies and the iris. The sweet fragrance of the black locust trees are wafting in the air. The farm is intoxicating with its fragrant flowers!

For this event, plan to participate! Pick herbs and fresh flowers, decorate cakes and sandwiches, make flower garlands, crowns, and staffs, taste delicious food grown on the farm and help us set up the May Pole.

Then join us as we weave satin ribbons around the May pole in the traditional May Pole dance, accompanied by the live music of Artie and the Vipers. Enjoy the story, “Butterfly Wonder” a lap puppet show delightfully told by Beech Tree Puppets. Bring your family and friends! Extra farm goodies may be available for purchase.

Hope you will join us to celebrate the energy and wonder of Spring!
