Did you know that Groundhog's Day really marks the halfway point between Winter solstice and Spring Equinox? This time has been celebrated as  Groundhog's Day, Candlemas, St. Brigid's Day or Imbolc.

FULL MOON: super moon, blue moon, lunar eclipse: Wednesday, January 31.Join us for a potluck and bonfire as we prepare a site for a teepee. Moonrise is at 5:30 p.m. From a place in the garden, one can see sunset as the moon rises. We invite you to come as early as 5:00 p.m.  Dress warmly and be prepared to work outside (boots!). All are welcome. RSVP.

MID-WINTER GATHERING: On February 3, starting at 3:00 p.m. We plan  to frame a teepee, sharpen and oil tools and generally get ready for spring. The event will include a bonfire and a potluck. Bring your own gloves. Wear warm clothes. Plan to work!  The event is free and open to all. Donations will be gratefully accepted. RSVP.

GLOBAL SISTERHOOD GATHERING: Our next gathering will be on Thursday, February 15 from 7 to 9:00 p.m. at the farm, 5009 Teeter Road, Taneytown. MD.  Renee Deiaco will lead the program with the theme: Inspired Vision: I serve the world with love and wisdom.  The event is free. We will collect donations to support women refugees. RSVP.

COME FOR RETREAT! A group of men arrived today for an extended stay at the Retreat House.

We continue to nurture the seeds of community with each other and with the land.

Quiet time is starting....

We are now putting the garden to bed after a very wet season. The two local towns will  deliver leaves to the farm to build organic matter in the soil. We will hold women's circles and Global sisterhood Gatherings through the winter. Check our calendar for details about events.
