Rain at May Day?

Posted 5/4/2018 8:28pm by Sally Voris .

Our season opens as we celebrate May Day on Sunday, May 6 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. As long as it is not pouring rain all day, we will plan to hold our event. Some of the activities may be in the barn.

Our approach calls for us to celebrate spring and the rising fertility of the Earth, whether it is raining, cold, windy or sunny and hot. I will make a final post on Sunday by noon.

Two years ago, some 40 people gathered--even though it was cloudy, windy and cold. We brought our warmth to the event and created a celebration. It is in that spirit that I encourage you to plan to come! Plan to honor the fertility of the Earth wherever you are.

In deep appreciation of Nature and all she provides,

Quiet time is starting....

Hazel is back! She is pregnant and due midwinter. Our thanks to Leah Mack, at whose farm Hazel and Daisy spent the summer with a virile bull.  Now we want to find Daisy, a pure-bred Jersey, a new home. She is pregnant and due mid-spring. Interested? Please contact me. Thanks. Sally
