Savoring the Sweetness of Nature

Posted 6/3/2018 5:09pm by Sally Voris .

In the midst of challenging weather, I realized that I was still surrounded by beauty. I had some food from the garden and simple sweetness to feed the soul. Everyone is welcome to come once for a visit. We ask those who want to return to join the farm circle as members

Our summer hours are starting. the gardens will be open on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings from 8:30 to 12:30, and on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday evenings from 4:30 to dusk.

Our next Global Sisterhood gathering will be Wednesday, June 13 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the farmhouse. The theme will be: Free the Voice: I speak my authentic truth. I will speak about the sweetness of simplicity. The event is free and we accept donations to support women refugees.

Our next event will be Circle Dancing at Summer Solstice on Saturday, June 16 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Westminster resident Pam Kraemer will lead our dances in the garden this year. The event will include a potluck for farm circle members starting at 5:30 p.m.  Click here for a flyer. Click here to register.

Our women's circle will meet next on Saturday, June 30. Join a group of women who gather at the change of the seasons to reflect on the rhythms and seasons of their lives. We share our stories, create a seasonal ritual, share food, and engage in an art activity. Bring food to share and wear comfortable clothes. Suggested donation: $25/regulars; $15/first timers.  Click here to register.

I expect to host people at the farmhouse this year. I am still working out the details.....Hope to see you soon!

Quiet time is starting....

Hazel is back! She is pregnant and due midwinter. Our thanks to Leah Mack, at whose farm Hazel and Daisy spent the summer with a virile bull.  Now we want to find Daisy, a pure-bred Jersey, a new home. She is pregnant and due mid-spring. Interested? Please contact me. Thanks. Sally
