On Retreat!

Come for Retreat!

Unplug from the cacophonous modern world. Fill your senses with the sounds and sights of nature: open, rolling fields, starry nights, bird call, fresh air, and a chorus of frogs or crickets. We offer a place with no WiFi, no television, no air conditioners.

On the weekends, guests come to get-away from urban life and enjoy a relaxed, lovely rural setting.  They have time to visit with each other, visit Gettysburg, enjoy a camp fire and walk, run or bike along quiet country roads.  Visit //www.airbnb.com/rooms/14449926.

For those who want an extended quiet retreat, we are offering a mid-week retreat: three consecutive nights from Sunday through Thursday for $339. Price includes linens and firewood.  It affords guests the opportunity to immerse themselves in nature, paint, write or meditate or simply be in a secluded, relaxed space--a space for all seasons.

The retreat house has a spacious master bedroom with table, sitting area and queen-sized bed, and two smaller bedrooms, one with a single bed, and one with a double bed. It also has a queen-sized air mattress on the ground floor in the family room. It has all the basic amenities for cooking and serving food.

Guests can relax in a meditation area; they can enjoy a quiet evening in the family room in front of the fireplace. Walk to the pond or to the crest of the hill. Ride a bike along country roads or travel by car to Gettysburg, the Catoctin Mountains or Hanover, all within a 30-minute drive. The Samara Healing Center, located just 10 minutes away, offers guided day retreats and a variety of healing options.

Quiet time is starting....

We are now putting the garden to bed after a very wet season. The two local towns will  deliver leaves to the farm to build organic matter in the soil. We will hold women's circles and Global sisterhood Gatherings through the winter. Check our calendar for details about events.
