Eggs and Honey
EGGS:
We sell large Grade A free-range eggs for $4.00/dozen.

Our flock of black Sex-link hens free-range around the farm, eating bugs, grass and other morsels. They get plenty of sun and fresh air. The yolks are a deep yellow-orange, have great flavor and are excellent for baking and cooking.
Honey:
We sell local, unpasteurized honey in one, two and three-pound jars. They are $7.00, 13.00 and 19.00 respectively.

The honey comes from a local beekeeper, Jim Small who tends more than a hundred hives in our area. He keeps several hives on the farm. The bees add vitality and energy to the farm and they help pollinate our crops.
Jim has educated me about the importance of local unpastuerized honey--the honey has vitality and flavor. I have read a number of references to how good unpastuerized honey is for helping with allergies: it is also supposed to help seniors renain healthy.
