Welcome to our 2010 Season!

“It is now a matter of seeking one’s own center and getting into conversation with the core of one’s own soul, and thereby with the soul of creation…”
Marko Pogacnik

Conversation; authentic conversation.  That is this year’s focus at White Rose Farm.

After studying biodynamic gardening intensively for the last five years, I now have something authentically mine to say about food and how we nourish ourselves.  Food is sacred--a gift of Creation—a marriage of Heaven and Earth—it is like the air we breathe and the breath we take.

Well-grown food enlivens and enriches us. It leads us to question what is real and what is important—even who we are and how we live. A wonderful meal, eaten with friends engaged in conversation, is among the most pleasurable experiences on Earth—and one that has deep roots in religious tradition.

If you want to take a step towards wholeness and to explore some aspect of yourself, others or the natural world, we invite you to visit White Rose Farm. We want to encourage the authentic expression of your own soul.

We welcome people from all backgrounds, beliefs and persuasions. We ask everyone who visits to respect others, the gardens and the farm animals. We provide some basic structure for your safety and encourage you to have your own authentic experiences.  We respond to questions and inquiries, but do not “preach.”

We open for the season on Saturday, May 1st, with our May Day celebration and close our season on Sunday, November 21st after our full moon celebration. We have structured our program this year to accommodate a wide variety of visitors—from those who simply want a taste of our food, to those who want to live here for the season.

Here is a brief summary of options:

  • Our farm stand will be open every Sunday evening from 4:00 to 7:30 p.m.
  • We will hold Open Houses every month where you can meet the owner and get a tour of the gardens.
  • We hold Full Moon Celebrations every month.
  • We organize five Seasonal Events every year.
  • We host a traditional CSA subscription service featuring 20 weeks of produce.
  • We encourage people to become farm members and actively participate in healing the Earth.
  • We will participate in the Cheverly Community Market in Cheverly, Maryland.
  • We are also participating in the 2010 Maryland Heartland Sustainability Fair.

Come for a visit and find what feeds your soul! May this year bring you deeper more soulful connections!
