Full Moon Celebrations

At White Rose Farm, we honor the feminine at each full moon. We invite you to join us! The events are scheduled on a weekend so that women can join us more easily, except when the full moon falls on a Wednesday, we celebrate on Wednesday.
A group of women now plan and organize these events. We gather at 6:00 p.m. and enjoy a shared meal at 6:30 p.m.. A formal program, led by one of our core group, starts at 7:30 p.m. The programs vary depending on the presenter; however, they are designed to be engaging and respectful of a wide variety of traditions and are not overtly religious. They often include some meditation and some thoughtful artistic activity. For instance, last year, we made prayer flags, drew mandalas, took a sensory walk in the garden and created a fire circle.
This year, we are focusing each celebration on a different one of the twelve senses that Rudolph Steiner elucidated in his work. Steriner describes the upper senses as sound, word, thought, and sense for the ego of another; the middle senses as smell, taste, sight and hearing; and the lower senses as touch, balance, well-being and movement.
The program lasts about 90 minutes and then we often enjoy dessert and an informal sharing.(Please note that three of the dates of the full moon coincide with seasonal events already planned at the farm. At those events, we welcome everyone to participate.)
