Time to Be: A Women's Retreat

My friend, Gwen Marable, encouraged me to create a women's circle at White Rose Farm. We envisioned a women's group meeting eight times a year at the changing of the seasons.

I have learned how important it is to come together on a regular basis, savoring time and space to listen to each other and reflect on our lives as we share our journeys. The passing of the seasons has become even more present to me--the seasons of the year and the seasons of life.

Gwen offers this quote from Starhawk about what a circle of women means to her:

" Somewhere there are people to whom we can speak with passion without having the words catch in our throats, somewhere a circle of hands will open to receive us, eyes will light up as we enter, voices will celebrate with us whenever we come into our own power.

Community means strength that joins our strength to do the work that needs to be done, arms to hold us when we falter, a circle of healing, a circle of friends, someplace where we can be free."

We invite women in our larger network to join our core group. Some come once; others return again and again. Please call with questions (410-756-9303) We suggest a donation of $25 for each event for "regulars" and a donation of $15 for first-time participants. Wear comfortable clothes and bring food to share. Click here to register.

Quiet time is starting....

Hazel is back! She is pregnant and due midwinter. Our thanks to Leah Mack, at whose farm Hazel and Daisy spent the summer with a virile bull.  Now we want to find Daisy, a pure-bred Jersey, a new home. She is pregnant and due mid-spring. Interested? Please contact me. Thanks. Sally
